Biography

Josh Harvey leads innovation and scaling efforts within CRS' information and communication technologies for development (ICT4D) portfolio. Josh and his team work across a breadth of sectors and geographies to uncover new ways to achieve program impact and efficiency through technology, and to grow the reach of CRS' most promising digitally-enabled initiatives.

Prior to joining CRS, Josh founded and led CARE's Research + Design team and led the United Nations Children's Fund's (UNICEF) Innovation Lab. Through his consulting firm, he delivered innovation strategy and design services to United Nations agencies, governments, and leading international non-governmental organizations.

Josh's work has been featured in several academic and popular publications, most recently Design for Social Innovation: Case Studies from Around the World. He lectures in ICT4D and Design for Social Innovation at the University of Turin, Italy.
